Many students at RMHS have iPhone or iPod Touch, and these devices are very useful, fun and exciting. Perhaps the most exciting feature of all is for these devices, however, the App Store. The App Store, you can choose from thousands of innovative applications to download directly to your device, designed by programmers worldwide. You can find applications ranging from a calculator Graphing, a game in full 3D racing. The problem is, try some of the many applications that might actually be useful and interesting. To help you in your search, here are a few applications, I found my experience as valuable.

Games-
Need for Speed Undercover ($5.99) – An impressively well-designed and addictive racing game.
Lemonade Tycoon ($1.99) – Classic game—Run a lemonade stand business and rise to the top.
Helicopter ($0.99) – It’s the original helicopter game. Fly a helicopter, and avoid hitting obstacles.
Line Rider iRide ($1.99) – Draw tracks for your little sledding guy to ride.
James Cameron’s Avatar ($6.99) – Full 3d adventure/rpg game based on the movie.

Music-
Pandora (FREE) – Internet radio of sorts; allows you to generate playlists based on you interests.
Information/Tools-
AppBox Pro ($0.99) – Features calculators, currency conversion, translators, system information.
AppSniper ($0.99) – Gives notifications of new apps and reduced prices of apps from app store.

Utilities-
Remote Desktop ($5.99) – Allows you to access your home computer as if you were there.
Download Manager ($1.99) – Easily download documents and videos from your internet browser.

gb4iphone (FREE) – A working emulator for the Gameboy Color.

Themes-
WinterBoard (FREE) – Allows you to change your system theme and colors and wallpaper.

Fonts-
FontSwap (FREE) – Allows you to change the systems default font.

Movies-
Flick Joint (FREE) – Gives you access to thousands of movies you can watch on your device for free.

General Tools-
Backgrounder (FREE) – Allows you to minimize an application, leaving it running for later use.
BossPrefs (FREE) – Allows you to enable or disable features or add-ons you have installed.
dTunes (FREE) – download free songs and movies and play them easily; includes safari dl plugin.

Do you sometimes get a bit jealous when you see your friend with this amazing iPhone app and you want it? Now you can share your apps with you and your friends. This is 100% legal as long as your friend approves. Below is the easiest way to share your apps.

Easiest Way:

1.Open Appstore on your device

2. Click Featured

3. Scroll all the way down

4. Click Account

5.Click Sign-Out (If already signed in)

6. Click Sign-in

7.Click “Use Existing Account”

8. Enter friend’s username and password

9.Click “OK”

10. Find app that friend has download on their device

11. Click Buy Now (You will NOT be charged)

12. A message which says “You have purchased this application already would you like to download again for free” will show up

13. Click OK or Yes

14. You now have Friends application. Remember to sign out using steps 1-5

15. Sign back in using steps 1-8

Notes

Friend will have to sign in when updates occur

Remember to always choose the correct app that your friend downloaded

Remember to ALWAYS sign-out of your friend’s account.
